What every Cabbie Care member agrees to
Cabbie Care supports taxi drivers and promotes better working conditions through membership, technology, commercial partnerships and linked professional services.
Using only some facilities still means paying the full annual fee. Part-time drivers and non-owners may still be eligible, depending on circumstances.
Using the Zeller EFTPOS terminal, eligible members receive 2% of qualifying net transactions (Jan–Dec), paid around 15 January. Non-qualifying transactions may be excluded.
An insurance club built to support members, not maximise profit. Backup taxis may be available when a member's vehicle is off the road, regardless of fault — rental fees may apply.
Cabbie Care engages toll operators, fuel companies and others to recognise drivers' contribution — though no particular discount or arrangement is guaranteed.
Membership provides access to opportunities and support — not a guaranteed level of income, trips, revenue, super, insurance payout or backup vehicle.
Membership activates once your application is accepted and the fee received. It's personal and non-transferable, and cancellable anytime — fees are non-refundable.
Eligible partner drivers may access Income Protection Insurance if unable to work due to qualifying workplace hazards — subject to policy terms. Membership alone doesn't guarantee a claim payout.
Advertising revenue from taxi vehicles may support members' self-funded super. No guaranteed level of advertising income or contribution — subject to Australian law.
Free consultations on GST, enforcement matters, banking and finance, plus a $110 tax return and $110 roadworthy inspection through participating partners.
Provide accurate information, comply with laws, maintain licences and insurance, and supply documentation to verify eligibility or claims when needed.
Cabbie Care may suspend or terminate membership for material breach, false information, fraud, misuse of facilities, or unlawful conduct.
