What every driver agrees to on the POPTAXI platform
A platform, not a transport provider
POPTAXI facilitates the arrangement between you and riders through the app. It has no responsibility or liability for transportation matters between the driver and the taxi user.
Sign up, stay accurate
Your login, taxi plate, mobile number and driver accreditation number must match our records. Notify POPTAXI before you log in if any of these change.
Fit to drive, fit to work
Your vehicle must be mechanically sound and your payment systems working, with enough cash on hand. Riders can refuse or ask for a refund if the vehicle or driver isn’t in a safe condition.
Misuse ends your account
Misusing your login or identity results in permanent removal as a driver. POPTAXI treats identification seriously and matters may be reported to CPVV, with further legal action possible.
$2 per completed trip
Includes the $1.35 Government Levy, invoiced to your app profile. Pay weekly by card, auto top-up, PayID, or in person at the Thomastown office. Invoices overdue two weeks may lead to suspension and debt recovery.
Know the add-ons you can charge
4% card-payment fee · $1/min waiting · $3/km detour · tolls · maxi taxi/SUV surcharge. Cabcharge, vouchers and M40 government-subsidy fares must run on the meter.
Fair use of the Service
No misuse, scraping, harassment, or unlawful content through the app or its Communication Services. Breach of these rules can end your access immediately.
Leaving works both ways
Tell us and your account closes, with your bond refunded within 30 days after adjustments. POPTAXI can end your access immediately for a breach or misuse, without advance notice.
Data used to run the Service
Personal and device data is collected to operate and improve POPTAXI. The Service is provided “as is” — if you’re unhappy, your remedy is to stop using it.
Australian law applies
Contracting party: POPTAXI, ABN 4098 4754 951. Every dispute about the Service or these Terms is governed by, and heard under, the laws and courts of Australia.
